Andriu Deplazes
In his compelling paintings, Andriu Deplazes (1993 in Zurich/CH) addresses the subject of humans, their vulnerability and their role within society. His works address the body as a vulnerable being and draw parallels to nature – from virtually untouched landscapes to consequences of the climate crisis.
About the talk
The role of art in the face of ecological crises will be discussed at the event. The focus will be on issues of responsibility, empathy and the ability of artworks to open up new perspectives on dealing with nature and climate. The connection between the body, landscapes and social vulnerability will also be addressed.
