We are committed to art through projects, our own collection, and formats that make art visible and accessible.
Our commitment to art
Since 1924, Swiss Post has been building a collection of contemporary art that now comprises around 500 works. Our commitment goes beyond acquiring works and rests on three pillars: the art collection, art in architecture and the “Art in the Periphery” format. The art collection focuses on works that address diversity, social justice, care for natural resources, sustainability and climate issues, as well as engagement with our history and the influence of new technologies on the worlds we live in.

Our art collection is both a gallery and an archive. It presents selected works and opens up a dialogue about themes, positions and forms of artistic expression.
Art in the periphery
With Art in the periphery, Swiss Post creates new access to art outside traditional venues. This format presents art projects in different regions and opens up new encounters.
Art in architecture
With Art in architecture, Swiss Post brings together art and architecture in everyday life. Works visible throughout Switzerland make art accessible and give certain locations a special character.
Art in dialogue - Let’s Talk About
The discussion series “Let’s Talk About” accompanies the publication about Swiss Post’s art collection. In moderated discussions, artists and specialists discuss key themes of the collection.
Exhibition cooperation
As part of exhibition cooperation, Swiss Post works with museums and cultural institutions. Together, they create exhibitions that make works from the collection accessible in different places.

At Zurich Art Weekend, Swiss Post highlights the potential of art in rural areas and strengthens the dialogue between urban and rural regions.

Swiss Post presents the new PostPac ART II (Sous la Surface) by Douglas Mandry – further evidence of its commitment to promoting contemporary art in everyday life.
Harald Naegeli, the “Sprayer of Zurich”
Sooner or later, anyone strolling around Zurich will come across a “Naegeli”. The line drawings by the street art pio-neer from Switzerland can be seen on countless walls and buildings. We’re honouring the artist with a limited special edition of just 2,500 sheetlets, for which we are upcycling the 2023 “Art in Architecture” stamp.
