Christine Streuli is known for her large-format, colour-intensive work. Her works often move between the representational and the abstract. Her PostPac ART is titled “Got to Get Away From Here”. With this, she captures the essence of mailing something: it’s about the moment of departure, letting go, and, at the same time, setting something in motion.

Christine Streuli says: ”I've got to get away from here, refers, on a linguistic level, to the possibility of sending something out into the world by mail, setting something in motion, getting rid of something, and sparking a dynamic. The phrase is also meant to encourage us to reflect on what we, as individuals, can no longer bear or are no longer willing to tolerate - both in the here and now, in our personal and private lives, and on a larger, global scale.”

The design is characterized by a powerful combination of vibrant colours and rhythmic structures. An exciting contrast to her other oeuvre: while Streuli usually works with stencils, spray cans or rollers, the brushstroke takes center stage here. On closer inspection, what appears to be a spontaneous, expressive gesture turns out, upon closer inspection, to be a sophisticated interplay of visual structures. This combination of analogue painterly gesture and digital reproduction reflects the dynamics of a world that never stands still.
